GENERAL:

Wellness with equines  creates an experience for growth and development. It can be as simple as reconnecting to nature, a family bonding, getting more in touch with self, or developing mindfulness in daily activities. Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is similar to EAP but the focus is on growth, learning or educational goals.  Like EAP, EAL involves the team of mental health professional and horse professional working with the clients and horses.  The focus however is on awareness, education and/or learning specific skills as defined by the individual or group. Examples might be improved product sales for a company, leadership skills for a school group, or resiliency training for our military warriors. Examples for individuals and/or families might be empowerment, sensitivity, enhanced self-esteem, mastery and efficacy.
